JUnit DataProvider on github

TNG published a JUnit extension on github. JUnit DataProvider is an extension related to the TestNG DataProvider for writing and running parameterized tests with simpler syntax in comparison to the known JUnit features.

Highly available and performant SOAP-Interface

A new SOAP-interface to the various ERP systems of a pharma wholesale company goes live after a successful pilot phase. The client wanted high availability via redundant hardware and high performance, which currently reaches about 1,000 requests per second. In addition to architecture consulting and development, we helped to implement the desired test-driven development approach and to set up the continuous integration environment with Jenkins.

Firefighting

Within the scope of a short-termed assignment at a major legal service provider, TNG analyzed a component representing one of the core functionalities of the software. Through various measures, which we programmed in a very short time, a speedup of two to four is achieved.

ETL | Groovy

For one of our clients in the insurance sector, we replaced ETL software with a new implementation in Java and Groovy, tailored to the specific needs of the customer. This dramatically simplified the handling, debugging and further development of the complex transformation rules. Furthermore, the software, initially intended for desktop use, could now be seamlessly integrated into the client's server infrastructure.

Dynamic Web Testing

In order to facilitate the testing of frequently changing browser click paths, we developed a test framework based on Concordion. The Concordion HTML test specifications are authored in the easy to write markdown format, integrating with built-in commands as well as those from an easily extendible set of Groovy scripts. The scripts define how to remotely control Selenium Webdriver.

Hosting Bid

We supported a B2C online mail order company by stabilizing and extending its shop based on the Hybris Commerce Suite. In the process, we also analyzed and optimized the underlying Oracle database landscape. Futhermore, we took charge of the re-tendering of the data center infrastructure and managed services. Apart from a detailed requirements analysis, we also accompanied the further bidding process. The ERP team of the client was supported by one of our ScrumMasters.

Architecture Review

We supported the CTO of a media company in reviewing the company IT landscape. The review covered areas from frontend development in PHP and proprietary client technologies, over Java backend systems with content management and search infrastructure, as far as virtualized data centers, content delivery networks and integration of third-party IT services.

Confluence Migration

For an international provider of e-commerce solutions, we successfully migrated the central wiki based on Atlassian Confluence to a new data center in Frankfurt. Furthermore, we improved system stability and availability for almost 30.000 users.

Confluence Introduction

At a Munich insurance company, we introduced the wiki Confluence, displacing several present wikis. Introducing various automations, we enable easy future Confluence updates, allowing the client to constantly benefit from new functions of the platform.
