Minds Mastering Machine
Every year, the Minds Mastering Machines conference provides insights into the latest developments in LLMs and machine learning. Just like last year, TNG will be there again this year. Our colleagues Martin Förtsch, Thomas Endres and Sven Rohr will be giving talks on April 24th on "From Zero to ChatGPT Hero: Effective Promt Engineering" and "How to roll your own LLM - Hosting Open Source Large Language Models yourself". Qubit Conference 2024
Send a virtual doppelganger into the video call and continue working on other things instead? Our Innovation Hacking Team has been researching real-time deepfakes for years and has developed an AI that could do just that. Our colleagues Martin Förtsch and Thomas Endres will present their work on this topic in their talk "Pushing Deepfakes to the Limit - Fake video calls with AI" at the Quibit Conference in Prague. Bevy Game Development Meetup
On April 18th, our colleague Niklas Eicker and other interested people will be focusing on game development with Bevy and Rust. Slack Event at the Salesforce Tower March 2024
On March 22nd, the Slack Community Chapter will meet at the Salesforce office in Munich to talk about topics such as the combination of Slack and Salesforce, app development in socket mode and Slack Canvas. Our colleagues Andreas Zöller and Benjamin Krauß will not only organise the event, but also represent TNG as speakers. Melbourne Java & JVM User Group
TNG is also represented at various events in Australia. On March 21st, our colleagues Jad Saliba and Shumin Liu will be speaking at the first Meetup of the Melbourne Java & JVM User Group of the year. In their presentation, they will contrast Java's new virtual threads with the traditional reactive programming approach. Further information on the talk and registration can be found here.
Better Futures Innovation Challenge
On March 19th and 20th, the "Better Futures Innovation Challenge" will take place at RMIT University on Swanston in Melbourne. At this hackathon, science meets industry with the aim of solving real challenges for a better future. At the event, up to five relevant challenges are worked on in teams and after 48 hours, one team per challenge is awarded. The winning team will continue to work on their idea with financial support and mentoring and present it at a final showcase in May. TNG is supporting this event with a mentor. JavaScript, Angular, React, Svelte & Vue, HTML & CSS Days Munich
The JavaScript Days will take place from March 18th to 21st in Munich. With more than 20 trainers, you can consolidate and expand your skills in JavaScript, Angular, React, Vue, Svelte, HTML and CSS in more than 40 workshops. Two colleagues from TNG will also be among the trainers: On the second day of the event Denise Meinhardt and Dominikus Hellgartner will give a workshop on Vue.js for beginners. TIDE TV via Zeit Stiftung Bucerius
As part of the AI series organised by ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS, our colleague Martin Förtsch will be contributing to a panel discussion on Deepfakes. The event on March 14th will provide an insight into how AI-generated videos and audio influence our trust in the media and how deepfakes can be exposed. The panel will not only be attended by 60-70 people in the audience, but will also be recorded and made available online afterwards by TIDE.tv.
Showcases at the New Year's Reception of the German Chamber of Commerce in Australia
The German Chamber of Commerce's New Year's Reception will take place in Melbourne on February 27th. At the AGL Energy Office one can not only enjoy a beautiful view over the city and a delicious BBQ, but also use the time to network. AI & Cloud Innovation Meetup - Touchscreens
In 2024, we are continuing our Meetup series on AI & Cloud Innovation in Karlsruhe. On February 15th, you can listen to a talk on deep learning super-resolution for capacitive touchscreens in our offices there, as welll as exchange ideas with other interested parties over food and drinks.
