At a national pharma wholesale, the productive pilot phase for the new SOAP-interface with different merchandise management systems for pharmacists started middle of February. The system is attached to Oracle WebLogic and an in-memory data grid. We have significantly been involved in the development, but also consulted the client in regards to architectural decisions and the configuration of the process environment, that is web- and applicationserver as well as load balancer.

We analyzed and evaluated the IT consolidation plans for a B2B mail order company planning to modernize and centralize its historically grown IT landscape. Therefore, we considered the IT infrastructure (hardware, firewall, storage, MDM/BYOD, integration of facilities) as well as the software IT systems (central merchandise management software/ERP, PIM, CRM) and the architecture that lies at the basis of the whole system. Based upon this analysis, we advise concrete steps and actions to be undertaken for restructuring and consolidationg the IT landscape.

Apache Software Foundation accepted a contribution from us. Starting with Camel 2.11, the component Spring LDAP that we developed will be part of the official release.

For evaluation purposes, we drew up an open stack cluster with a virtualized network on the basis of Open VSwitsch.

TNG continues to grow strongly. For the first time in company history, TNG has more than 100 full-time employees.

The large-scale scrum project we supported in the role of a product owner for an automotive company went into production in three additional countries.

We optimized JIRA for the development department of a big dating-portal provider. We demonstrated the possibilities of the new Greenhopper add-on for agile development and configured kanban boards adapted to the needs of developers and product owners. Also, for a big system- and software company, we conducted the upgrade of JIRA to version 5 and tethered JIRA to the in-house user database.

We supported a time-critical product development in an insurance company with the help of agile methods through coaching the cross-departmental core teams.

To continue to meet the increasing importance of agile methods, we trained practically all of our employees in Scrum. In addition, already more than half of all TNG-employees have been taught about Kanban.

Within the complex portal of a major company, we optimized the write operations in the portal from O(n) to O(log n). For the first time, it is possible for portal users to work very efficiently.

For one of our clients in the area of internet services, we analyzed the existing network infrastructure in the scope of a study regarding security, expandability, complexity, and cost efficiency. Considered were the ethernet topology, firewalls and load balancer, as well as the dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP-Peering and transit).
